Tickets & Registration

Checkout

How guest checkout works for free and paid tickets.

Checkout is what guests experience from choosing a ticket to getting confirmation. Understanding this flow helps you explain the product to your team and debug “I couldn’t register” messages.

Free tickets

Free tickets

Guest picks a ticket → completes the form (if any) → receives confirmation with a ticket code. There is no payment step.

Paid tickets

Guest picks a ticket → pays through the configured provider → order stays pending until payment confirms. Inventory may be held with a checkout timer when enabled.

After purchase or RSVP

Successful registrations appear under Attendees with a status such as:

  • Confirmed: good to attend / scan
  • Pending: often waiting on payment
  • Cancelled: no longer valid

From Attendees you can search people, export lists, and resend ticket or confirmation emails.

Team registration

When enabled, one buyer can claim multiple seats in a single order (subject to min/max per ticket). Useful for companies sending a group to a workshop.

What guests typically receive

Depending on your email setup:

  • Confirmation message
  • Ticket code / QR for check-in
  • Event details (time, venue, links)

Configure templates under Email templates.

Test before you promote

  1. Open the public link in a private window

    Behave like a first-time guest.

  2. Complete registration

Try free and paid paths if you offer both.

  3. Check Attendees + email

Confirm the person appears and the message arrived (including spam folder on first tests).
